INTA WORLD CONGRESS

The 40th edition of INTA WORLD CONGRESS took place between November 28 and 30, 2016 and was organized by the International Urban Development Association (International Urban Development Association – INTA), a global association established in 1976 in Paris, made up of global urban decision-makers that make a significant contribution to sustainable urban development. INTA currently counts 3500 members worldwide.
Mr. Mocanu Ionut, Executive Director, represented Tehnopol Association of Galati in this Congress, and also the Municipality of Galati by speaking on the subject of Galaţi Municipality during the World Economic Crisis and how was this approached by the territorial-administrative authorities. After the speech and presentation of Power Point, a question and answer session followed, with the participants showing interest in the presentation of Galati.
This Congress has been an excellent opportunity to provide and receive information on the different ways to finance innovation and urban development.
Mr. Mocanu Ionut took the opportunity of visiting the Embassy of Romania in the Portuguese Republic, where he and Ms. Adela Condurache-Fedorca, economic attache, discussed the development tools of the city: Free Trade Zone, Industrial Park, Information and Technology Park and TEHNOPOL Association of Galati. The meeting with Ms. Adela Condurache-Fedorca, economic attache, kicked off excellent cooperation in the near future.
