




JUMP TO SMART 2.0 CONSTANTA Conference – SEAPORT OF SMART BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIE

Between October 25 and 26, 2017, in Constanța, the JUMP TO SMART 2.0 CONSTANTA – SEAPORT OF SMART BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES Conference took place. Iustina Deleanu, consultant within the Association, participated on behalf of the Tehnopol Association.
This conference was organized with the aim of facilitating the dialogue between central and local public authorities, civil society and the business environment, in order to identify and promote the most efficient and innovative solutions that can be applied in the development of smart cities, as the concept of “smart city” represents the future in urban development and infrastructure in Romania.
The event is part of the ROMANIA-SMART series of events. The first conference in the JUMP TO SMART series – JUMP TO SMART 1.0, Romania of Smart Cities – took place in Bucharest, between June 12-13, 2017, and brought together representatives of the Romanian Government, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Bucharest, mayors of major cities in Romania and abroad, leading companies in fields such as IT&C, consulting, management, representatives of non-governmental institutions, businessmen, and media representatives.
The second edition, held in Constanța, addressed the issue of smart cities, with a focus on the Constanța region, with the following themes:
a) Constanța – challenges and opportunities for smart urban development. Local solutions to global problems.
b) GREEN CITIES – concept and good practices at European level – the Dutch model.
c) Urban regeneration – local initiatives and their role in the development of the region.
d) Regional cooperation in order to develop a smart cities development strategy.

The event was organized by the Brainstorming Association, with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Bucharest and in collaboration with the City Hall of Constanța.
