Using Autonomous Maritime / River Surveillance Systems

Between 26th and 30th of October 2015, a representative of the Tehnopol Galati Association attended the conference organized by EMSA – European Maritime Safety Agency in Lisbon Portugal, with the subject of Autonomous Maritime / River surveillance systems usage in the border areas. The discussion focused specifically on illegal immigration and on monitoring air and water pollution. There were a series of meetings with representatives of GMV and Thales Alenia who have expressed interest in bringing research and development capacities for monitoring the sea / river in the Free Trade Zone to implement pilot projects to monitor the border area.
