Visit from Odessa region, Ukraine

On November 9, 2016, a meeting was held at the premises of TEHNOPOL Association of Galati between the representatives of the Association, those of the Free Trade Zone Galati, the Industrial Park and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture with guests from Ukraine.
Participants:
1. Ionut Mocanu, Executive Director, Tehnopol Association of Galati;
2. Cristina Gogoncea, Enterprise Europe Network – Galati Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture;
3. Cătălin Vasiliu, Director of Galati Free Trade Zone;
4. Costică Voicu, Director of Galati Industrial Park;
5. George Dudu, Marketing Director of Galati Free Trade Zone;
6. Anton Yarotsky, Director of the Regional Development Office, Odessa;
7. Iness Kerdivara – Representative of the largest tram manufacturer in Eastern Europe;
8. Ilya Blokhin – expert in cross-border cooperation projects;
9. Vitaliy Nikula – Member of the Reni District Council.
The participants discussed the opportunities for collaboration: attracting European funds, development of technological parks in Reni and Ismail, supporting Ukrainian investments in Galati and vice versa.
The guests were interested in finding out what tax incentives could Galati offer to investors coming from Ukraine, expressing their desire to enter the European market. Representatives of local public entities assured the guests of all their openness to a future mutual beneficial relationship and discussed the details of the official visit that will most likely take place in January next year.
